Marcia K. Field, Esq.
is the President for TSLI’s Board of Directors. Ms. Field has been associated with both TSLI & HHB since 1994. She is an attorney in private practice, specializing in the area of Family Law. Ms. Field is the Board of Directors Past President for the Nassau County Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
 
Kay Posillico, LCSW
is the Vice President of TSLI’s Board of Directors. She has been a Board member of both TSLI & HHB since 1996. Ms. Posillico is a Certified Social Worker and Co-Director of The Life Center of Huntington; a center for counseling and health services.
 
Gary Lombardi 
is the Secretary/Treasurer of TSLI & HHB’s Board of Directors. He has been a member of the TSLI/HHB Boards since 2013. He is a Senior Vice President for Citizens Bank. Mr. Lombardi received his Bachelor of Science in Economics from New York Institute of Technology and his MBA from Dowling College. He is a current board member for the Fire Island Lighthouse Preservation Society and Board member of Brookhaven Chapter of UNICO National.
 
Richard J. Bonanno, MD
is HHB’s Board of Directors President. Mr. Bonanno has served as a member of TSLI’s Board since 1978 and HHB’s Board since its inception.  Dr. Bonanno was an Attending Physician at Northwell Hospital and Faculty for the Department of Family Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell School of Medicine.
 

Jon H. Ruiss, Jr., Esq./CPA
is HHB’s Board of Directors Vice President and has been a member of the TSLI and HHB’s Boards since 2013. Jon Ruiss is an associate in Alston & Bird’s Finance practice. In addition to his practice of law, Mr. Ruiss is also a Certified Public Accountant. Prior to his attending law school, Mr. Ruiss worked as an accountant at Grant Thorton. As an auditor, Mr. Ruiss’s clients ranged from financial institutions to large not-for-profit entities receiving significant federal funding. Mr. Ruiss received his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Villanova University and his Juris Doctor from St. John’s University School of Law.  Mr. Ruiss is an attorney admitted to practice in the State of New Jersey.
 
Mary Beth Griffin
joined the TSLI & HHB Board in 2017. She is an active volunteer in her community and has been involved with TSLI/HHB since 2012. Ms. Griffin has a higher education background in various roles, including the Assistant Director of Career Counseling at St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York and the Associate Director of Student Financial Services at Fordham University in the Bronx.  She holds a B.A. degree in American Studies and an M.S.Ed. in Counseling from Fordham University. 

Rebecca Bonanno, PhD, LCSW is an Associate Professor of Human Services at SUNY Empire State College and a therapist in private practice. Dr. Bonanno has worked in community-based mental health and educational settings throughout Long Island. She completed her MSW and PhD at Stony Brook University.

RESIDENT’S COMMUNITY ADVISORY BOARD

As a result of the ongoing planning and policy establishment function of the agency’s governing body, it was determined that the agency should incorporate into its present structure a community based group. Namely, the President’s Community Advisory Board (PCAB). Members of the PCAB should be known to the agency and have, over time, demonstrated a clear interest in TSLI/HHB’s endeavors and possess a personal interest in advancing the endeavors of the agency and the social and rehabilitative interests of the residents TSLI/HHB serves.

Initiatives of the PCAB, along with agency administration and members of the TSLI/HHB Executive Board are:

  • To heighten the public’s knowledge of TSLI/HHB and its services
  • To gain greater private sector fiscal support
  • To annually promote a gala event
  • To establish a major gift giving campaign
